The Canadian Exotic Animal Owner's Association Inc (CEAO) is a group of individuals with various backgrounds in animal husbandry, agriculture, biology, research, tracking and rescue work, education and awareness programs, zoology, endangered animal breeding successes, conservation's, rehabilitation and release programs, who efforts, experience and information have combined to develop and implement minimum standards; the association is:

1.      To maintain the welfare of all exotic animals in captivity

2.      To assist municipalities and keepers with the safe and humane housing of exotic animals
         a. by keeping animals safely, this in turn protects the public and the animal keepers

3.      To assist people with exotic animals by sharing information from other successful professional animals keepers.

Through members of the Canadian Exotic Animals Owner's Association Inc and some of the area veterinary services we hope to provide a service to farmers and municipalities in:

1.      The humane capture and relocation of nuisance animals such as:
         a. bears, deer, wolves, coyotes, etc

2.      The humane capture of farm animals such as:
        a. cattle, horses, etc

3.      Rehabilitation - placement of injured or orphaned animals until they are able to be released back into the wild.

The Canadian Exotic Animals Owner's Association Inc. is against the capture of wild animals being kept in captivity unless the animal is incapable of surviving the wild.
